The Accounting Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting the company's financial controls and regulatory compliance. The role ensures that financial information is complete, accurate, properly documented, and submitted on time.
Record and review daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
Maintain the general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, journals, and supporting schedules.
Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and payment requests.
Verify invoices, receipts, purchase orders, and other supporting documents.
Prepare bank, cash, supplier, customer, and intercompany reconciliations.
Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up on discrepancies.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Prepare schedules and reports for management, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow monitoring, and expense control.
Compute and prepare taxes, payroll-related entries, and statutory payments as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
At least 1–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
Working knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reporting, taxation, and accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or enterprise-resource-planning software.
Familiarity with applicable tax, payroll, and statutory reporting requirements.
Experience supporting audits and month-end closing activities is preferred.
