Job summary

TRIPLEWELL CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION in Makati City is seeking an Accounting Officer to join our finance team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring GAAP/IFRS compliance, and supporting regulatory reporting within a dynamic construction environment.

You will manage general ledger postings, bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, payroll support, and audit readiness while coordinating with external auditors and internal departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–3 years of professional accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS is required.
• Attention to detail and accuracy with large data sets.
• Experience with bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Record and post financial transactions to the general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, balance sheets, and other financial statements.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and verify payments.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain documentation for all accounting transactions and records.
• Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate employee compensation.
• Support tax compliance activities and documentation.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide financial records during audits.
• Suggest improvements to accounting procedures.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Officer to join our finance team in Makati City, Metro Manila on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal position within our accounting department, responsible for managing and maintaining our financial records with precision and accuracy. As an Accounting Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, whilst supporting the broader financial objectives of TRIPLEWELL CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION. This role offers the opportunity to work with a professional team in a fast-paced construction industry environment.

Key responsibilities

• Recording and posting financial transactions to the general ledger and subsidiary accounts with accuracy and timeliness
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, balance sheets, and other financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice processing and payment verification
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Performing account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies to ensure accuracy of financial records
• Maintaining proper documentation and filing systems for all accounting transactions and supporting records
• Assisting with payroll processing and ensuring timely and accurate employee compensation
• Supporting tax compliance activities and assisting in the preparation of tax documentation
• Liaising with external auditors and providing necessary financial documentation during audit processes
• Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing enhancements to accounting procedures

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognised institution
• Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in accounting or financial reporting roles
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when handling large volumes of financial data
• Proficiency in bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Filipino
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is preferred
• Previous experience in the construction or project-based industry is advantageous
• Knowledge of Philippine tax regulations and compliance requirements is highly valued
