Dreamland Media Services in the Philippines is seeking an Accounting Officer to manage the full accounting cycle and ensure accurate financial records. You will handle journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations while upholding tax compliance and internal controls.

The Accounting Officer is responsible for maintaining books of accounts, completing the accounting cycle, ensuring accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements, and supporting the organization's overall financial operations.
Perform the complete accounting cycle, including recording, classifying, summarizing, reconciling, and reporting financial transactions.
Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries, general ledger accounts, and trial balances.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
Prepare adjusting, accrual, depreciation, and closing entries.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Generate management reports and financial analyses.
Assist in preparing cash flow reports, income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
Prepare and file Philippine tax returns
Ensure compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations.
Coordinate and prepare reports required by government agencies such as:
Stay updated on changes in Philippine and U.S. accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.
Process payroll and ensure timely salary disbursement.
Compute employee compensation, overtime, incentives, commissions, and deductions.
Prepare and reconcile payroll reports.
Ensure compliance with statutory contributions and employee-related tax obligations.
Coordinate payroll-related accounting entries.
Prepare schedules and supporting documents for internal and external audits.
Implement internal control recommendations.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of financial records and company information.
Assist in developing and improving accounting processes and internal controls.
Safeguard company assets through proper financial controls.
Assist in inventory accounting and reconciliation, where applicable.
Prepare financial documentation required by management and external stakeholders.
Perform financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
Support year-end closing activities.
Perform other accounting, finance, and administrative duties as assigned by management.
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation is an advantage but not required.
At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations, BIR compliance, and statutory reporting requirements.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial analysis.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise professional judgment.
