Optimus Executive Search Solutions is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead core accounting and finance operations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment within the reinsurance/insurance sector in the Philippines.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience, hands-on leadership, and a strong grasp of financial reporting, taxation, compliance, and internal controls, enabling accurate financial results and strategic business support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience with leadership exposure.
• Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, compliance, and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, and month-end close.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports and analyses.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning activities.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, regulators and external stakeholders.
• Develop and strengthen accounting processes, internal controls and reporting systems.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure accuracy and timely deliverables.
• Provide financial insights to support business decisions and strategic planning.
