Job summary

Harbor Star Shipping Services, Inc. in Makati seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day Accounting Department operations, supervise staff, and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and analysis.

You will oversee budgeting, internal controls, and compliance with SEC/PSE requirements, provide guidance on Philippine standards, and support external audits. This on-site role requires a CPA, strong leadership, ERP/SAP familiarity, and excellent MS Office skills to drive

Qualifications

• CPA with proven financial reporting and budgeting experience.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP is a bonus.
• Knowledge of SEC regulations, PSE compliance, and external audits.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Accounting Officer, Accountant, and oversee junior staff.
• Review and approve AP vouchers, fund requests, and petty cash vouchers.
• Review and approve interim financial statements for the parent, subsidiaries and consolidated group.
• Analyze accounts, forecasts, and historical data to support management decisions.
• Provide technical support and maintain continuity when senior staff are unavailable.
• Develop and recommend Accounting Department policies and procedures.
• Prepare and review the annual operating plan and budgets.
• Forecast staffing, materials, and CapEx requirements.
• Monitor performance and provide timely feedback to staff.
• Conduct annual performance reviews and assess results against targets.
