Grand Apex Constructions Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and project accounting within the construction sector.
The role requires leadership of the accounting team, strong knowledge of PFRS and BIR regulations, and a track record in managing WIP, billings, and budgeting across multiple projects.
We are seeking a highly experienced Accounting Managerto oversee the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, project accounting, tax compliance, and internal controls. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in the construction industry, with extensive experience in project cost accounting, progress billings, financial analysis, and team leadership.
1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
2. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
3. Monitor project costs, Work-in-Progress (WIP), budgets, and project profitability.
4. Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
5. Oversee progress billings, collections, subcontractor billings, retention, project advances, and liquidation of project funds.
6. Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), BIR regulations, and other statutory requirements.
7. Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning activities.
8. Coordinate internal and external audits and strengthen accounting policies and internal controls.
9. Collaborate with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, Warehouse, HR, and other departments to ensure accurate project financial reporting.
10. Lead, mentor, and evaluate the Accounting team while driving process improvements and operational efficiency.
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy; CPA is required.
Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Must have extensive accounting experience in the construction industry.

Experience using ERP/accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar systems is an advantage.
