Job Description
JOB OBJECTIVES
1. To ensure that Accounting transactions, for shared services entities’ books (as deemed assigned), are timely and correctly reported;
2. To maintain and make sure of the accuracy of account reconciliations, both Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Accounts;
3. To provide timely and complete financial reports to the management as well as external partners.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall Accounting Responsibilities
- Participate to monthly, quarterly and annual financial close reporting process
- Prepare/review balance sheet and profit or loss accounts reconciliations including intercompany account transactions, accruals and deferral analysis and posting of journal entries
- Review cash in bank reconciliations
- Prepares necessary adjusting entries to ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts
- Assists on the analysis of fixed assets and Inventory schedules i.e. provision for obsolescence, inventory valuation, estimated credit losses, CAPEX useful life and depreciation runs
- Reviews accounts payable/receivable entries and payment/collection processing for shared services entities as maybe assigned
- Assists on the preparation of schedules and supporting documents for management reporting, internal and external audits.
- Review financial statements and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.
- Liaise with external auditors
- Prepare/ review schedules supporting the Regulatory Reporting and other adhoc regulatory reporting requests
- Review, submits and ensures payments of BIR taxes, local business and real property taxes on
- Participate in and support various projects and continuous improvement efforts across the accounting organization
- Ensure compliance with Global Accounting Manual
- Support development of cost control and budgeting strategies
- Other duties as maybe assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess at least a college degree of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or related field;
- With at least 3-5 years relevant working experience in a supervisory level;
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA);
- With proven knowledge in financial statement preparation and analysis, bookkeeping and accounting practices and standards, taxes and other government regulations;
- Preferably knowledgeable on SAP/Quickbooks accounting system and MS Office applications;
- Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision and has the capability to lead a team;
- With strong analytical and problem-solving skills and results oriented;
- Excellent in written and verbal communication, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization;
- Proactive and a committed team player;
- Can work on flexible hours to meet changing work environment and to meet tight deadlines.
