Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statement and balance sheet.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll checking.
• Supervise staff and mentor the accounting team; conduct quarterly performance evaluations and development plans.
• Support internal and external audits; ensure documentation and information are complete and accessible; maintain compliance with tax laws.
• Prepare weekly cashflow budgets to monitor liquidity and ensure adequate cash for operations or investments.

Role Summary

Account Manager oversees the daily operations of the accounting department. It involves conducting financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as collaborating with local teams to drive process improvements. Supervise staff member responsible for daily transaction operation of the company. He/she would be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting data (FS). To ensure effective managing the department functions and promoting best practices, strengthening and safeguarding overall financial health

Functional Work

Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statement, Balance sheet.
• Prepares and submits financial reports for management and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.

Accounting Operations

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the accounting function, including accounts payable, account receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll checking.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and applicable requirements.
• Supervise the reconciliation of various accounts, including bank reconciliations, and promptly guide staff in resolving any discrepancies.

Team Support

• Support top management and mentor the accounting team by providing guidance to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely execution of financial processes.
• Conduct quarterly performance evaluations, offer constructive feedback, and facilitate professional development plans to help team members grow in their roles
• Identify skill gaps within the team and coordinate relevant training and development indicatives to enhance overall capability and performance.

Audit & Compliance

• Support both internal & external audit processes by ensuring that all required documentation and information are complete, accurate, and readily accessible.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with tax laws and other statutory financial reporting requirements.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records.

Budget Forecasting

• Prepare weekly cashflow budget to enable them to see the financial plan that expected cash inflow and out flow over specific period. And make sure our financial obligation and achieve goals have enough cash available for operations or investment.

Qualifications & experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 10+ years of relevant experience with progressive responsibility
• Ability to manage complex financial issues and analyses and provide quality deliverables under strict deadlines
• Good knowledge in statutory, financial and management accounts preparation
• Willing to work in Cabuyao, Laguna area
