Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA is preferred but not required.
• At least 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with leadership or managerial exposure.
• Must have experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, internal controls, and accounting standards.
• Experience with hospital billing, revenue, collections, and financial reporting is highly preferred.

• Lead and oversee the overall accounting operations including general accounting, payables, receivables, and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee healthcare-related accounting transactions such as patient billing and revenue recognition.
• Monitor cash flow, budget utilization, and financial performance; develop controls and internal policies.
• Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with government regulations and reporting requirements.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Head with strong hospital or healthcare industry experience to lead the overall accounting and financial operations of the organization. The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, accounting controls, compliance, budgeting, and the accounting team while providing strategic financial insights to management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the overall accounting operations, including General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee hospital/healthcare-related accounting transactions, including patient billing, collections, revenue recognition, payables, and expenses.
• Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and budget utilization.
• Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and other applicable government regulations.
• Lead the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.
• Review financial reports and provide meaningful analysis and recommendations to senior management.
• Oversee tax compliance, statutory reporting, and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to address financial and operational concerns.
• Ensure proper maintenance, documentation, and confidentiality of financial records.
• Perform other finance and accounting responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA is preferred but not required.
• At least 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience in a leadership or managerial role.
• Must have experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, internal controls, and accounting standards.
• Experience overseeing hospital billing, revenue, collections, payables, and financial reporting is highly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Able to work effectively with senior management, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
