Job summary

Weepay Payment Processing Corp. in the Philippines is seeking a junior accounting professional to support day-to-day financial operations, record transactions, and maintain accurate accounting records.

You will work under supervision to ensure timely and accurate financial data entry and reporting. The role covers bank reconciliations, preparation of management reports, tax filing support, audits, and adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Management Accounting, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related functions.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with tax compliance, bank reconciliation, and audit requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting functions, including recording, monitoring, and reconciliation of financial transactions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records, schedules, and supporting documents.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and management reports.
• Handle funding requirements, including collateral, clearing, reserve requirements, and non-trade requests.
• Monitor and process checks, official receipts (ORs), and cash-out transactions.
• Coordinate with banks regarding account maintenance, requirements, and related transactions.
• Process and monitor non-trade-related financial requests.
• Manage and liquidate cash advances.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and required documentation.
• Maintain proper filing and safekeeping of accounting and financial records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as may be assigned.
