DOXA seeks an experienced Accounting Associate (Philippines) to support day-to-day financial operations for a multi-unit restaurant franchise. You will handle posting, reconciliations, vendor payments, sales tax preparation, and store-level financial reporting, coordinating with stakeholders and maintaining accuracy across locations.

The role requires hands-on accounting expertise, familiarity with franchise accounting, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Hands-on bookkeeping and accounting experience including posting, reconciliations, and P&L review.
• Experience with multi-location businesses and franchise accounting is preferred.
• Advanced English communication skills (B2+ to C1) are required.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily cash and banking activity across locations.
• Process vendor invoices and payments; maintain supporting docs.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly P&Ls for each store and for brand reporting.
• Handle sales tax calculations, returns, and timely filings.
• Support payroll processing and respond to deadlines and stakeholder requests.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced bookkeeping and accounting professional, or a qualified accounting firm, to support the day-to-day financial operations of a multi-unit restaurant franchise business. This hands‑on role is responsible for accurate transaction processing, timely reconciliations, vendor payments, sales tax preparation, and reliable store‑level financial reporting.

The ideal candidate understands the pace and reporting requirements of multi‑location operations, works independently against recurring deadlines, and communicates clearly with restaurant and business stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Education:
• Experience: Hands‑on bookkeeping and accounting experience, including transaction posting, payment processing, reconciliations, P&L preparation/review, financial reporting, and sales tax reporting. Experience with multi‑location businesses, franchise accounting, vendor payments, delivery‑platform reconciliation, store‑level reporting, and payroll is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency with accounting software and online banking platforms; bank, credit card, vendor, cash, and operating account reconciliations; sales tax preparation; financial reporting; payroll support.

Responsibilities:

Daily Cash, Banking & Reconciliations:

• Record and reconcile daily cash reconciliation (DCR) entries and review daily banking activity across locations.
• Record credit card transactions and automatic debits from bank statements; complete bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Reconcile delivery orders and related deposits, investigate variances, and maintain supporting documentation.
• Prepare and reconcile DCP/BR entries and resolve discrepancies in coordination with the appropriate team members.
• Process franchise fee card payments and record the corresponding accounting entries.
• Process vendor invoices and food bills; prepare and issue vendor checks or payments and record all related entries.
• Track and record insurance payments and related accounting entries across all insurance types and locations.
• Maintain accurate payables and transaction records and follow up on missing or inconsistent documentation.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax calculations, returns, and supporting records for timely review and filing.
• Prepare and review monthly profit and loss statements (P&Ls) for each store, identifying material discrepancies for follow‑up.
• Prepare and submit required store‑level P&Ls to Dunkin Brands and Popeyes in accordance with established reporting schedules.
• Complete period‑end reconciliations and maintain accurate, report‑ready records.

Payroll & General Accounting Support:

• Provide payroll processing support, initially for Arefin, with the scope expanding as needed.
• Carry out additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as assigned and keep stakeholders informed of outstanding items and deadlines.
