Job summary

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is hiring an Accounting Associate to handle withholding tax on compensation, fringe benefit tax, and statutory contributions. You will ensure accurate remittances and accounting entries while supporting annual BIR requirements in a fast-paced payroll environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, a willingness to work in Makati, and knowledge of statutory and tax compliance. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and grow within the team.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly withholding tax on compensation, monthly statutory contribution remittances, and quarterly fringe benefit tax remittances, including the preparation of related accounting entries.
• Prepare annual BIR requirements, including but not limited to the Alphalist and BIR Form 2316.
• Prepare documentary requirements needed for statutory clearances, business permits, and accreditation purposes.
• Respond to employee inquiries and service tickets related to payroll taxes and statutory contributions.
• File, organize, and safeguard processed documents, accounting entries, and remittance records.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time, including serving as a backup for other team functions when necessary.
