Job summary

Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to ensure accurate daily reconciliation, reporting, and posting of transactions.

You will generate and review daily reports via Vreporter, reconcile inbound/outbound items in WinMCA, and prepare supporting documentation for accounting officers, with Docuware-based verification and regular schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy is required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Generates and downloads daily reports via Vreporter and interfaces to WinMCA.
• Reconciles inward transactions and prepares correction advice for unposted items for review by Accounting Officer.
• Encodes/passes manual entries to WinMCA based on Auto Recon and scanned documents; reconciles postings.
• Ensures In Process Accounts and other temporary accounts are adjusted and zeroed out.
• Generates the Reconciliation Report via VRep and reconciles balances with subsidiary ledgers.
• Relays discrepancies in temporary accounts and reports to Accounting Officers.
• Reviews branches’ documents via Docuware to ensure posting accuracy.
• Assists in preparing daily/weekly/monthly reports and annual schedules.
• Performs other related functions as assigned.

Job Summary:

Responsible for checking and ensuring accurateness, completeness and efficient recording; performing, balancing and preparing reconciliation of daily transactions of accounts; and preparing financial reports for evaluation and control purposes.

Role Exposure:

• Generates/downloads daily reports through Vreporter and interfaces to WinMCA.
• Reconciles inward transactions. Prepares correction advice for unposted items and submit to Accounting Officer for checking and transmission to CCMD posting section.
• Encodes /passes manual entries to WinMCA based on Auto Recon and scanned images of documents and reconciles the same with various reports to ascertain proper posting of transactions.
• Ensures that In Process Accounts, Due from Clearing-Inward/Outward and all other temporary accounts are adjusted and zeroed out.
• Generates the Reconciliation Report thru VRep and ensures that account balances per WinMCA are reconciled with their corresponding subsidiary ledgers.
• Accounts and relays noted discrepancies in temporary accounts and reconciliation reports to the concerned Accounting Officers.
• Reviews the branches’ transaction documents/media through Docuware to ensure posting accuracy. (callback)
• Assists in the preparation of daily/weekly/monthly reports and annual schedules.
• Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time-to -time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy graduate
• Certified Public Accountant is an advantage
