Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct and participate in physical inventory counts, cycle counts and surprise accounts across warehouses, depots, and affiliated locations.
- Ensure proper cut-off procedures for inventory movements during physical counts.
- Validate inventory quantities, locations, and conditions against system records.
- Perform regular reconciliation of physical inventory in the accounting system.
- Investigate inventory variances, shortages, overages, and discrepancies and prepare variance analysis report.
- Prepare and recommend inventory adjustments, write-offs and reclassification subject to management approval.
- Monitor inventory aging, slow moving, obsolete and damaged stocks and coordinate with management for appropriate accounting treatment.
- Ensure compliance with company inventory policies, accounting procedures, and internal control standards.
- Identify control gaps and recommend process improvements to strengthen inventory controls.
- Coordination with warehouse, operations and accounting.
- Perform other task that maybe assigned from time to time.
General Responsibilities
- Performs cross-functional duties that may be assigned from immediate superior in the attainment of the department/section objectives.
- Performs 5S of good housekeeping practices in the workplace.
- Adheres to company rules and regulations, QEHS Policy and standard operating procedures.
