Job summary

Concentrix is hiring an Accountant I for its GLSS Global Intercompany team. This role reports to the GLSS Supervisor and ensures intercompany transactions are recorded accurately with SOX-compliant reconciliations.

You will propose improvements to intercompany processes and provide timely accounting support to stakeholders. The role requires a BS Accountancy, strong English communication, and 3+ years in finance or accounting with 1–2 years in intercompany within shared services.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a shared services accounting set-up is required.
• Attention to detail is highly important and a structured methodical approach is necessary.
• Relevant knowledge in accounting processes such as AP, AR, Fixed Asset, Intercompany, Account Reconciliations and General Ledger is crucial to be successful in this role.
• Successful candidates must have the maturity and ability to work on own initiative in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of work and effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
• A good Team player and knows how to collaborate with other cross-functional teams within Concentrix.
• Graduate of B.S. Accountancy is required.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Finance or Accounting and at least 1-2 years experience in Intercompany, preferably within the Shared Services accounting industry.
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet timelines on deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Perform Book Closing related activities on a monthly, quarterly and annually basis.
• Prepare Balance sheet account reconciliations with quality, compliant with SOX requirement, and any open/reconciling items are cleared.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for all operational transactions including Intercompany cross charges and other IC activities.
• Generate and publish accurate Intercompany reports to relevant stakeholders on a timely basis.
• Perform accounting analysis for Intercompany AR/AP, Loans and interests.
• Identify and resolve variances related to foreign exchange to clear IC balances outages between affiliates.
• Provide appropriate accounting information to customers/stakeholders/controllers when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments within Concentrix in accounting issues and queries.
• Review financial reports to identify and explain variances.
• Perform accounting analyses and reporting to support decision-making.
• Drive process improvements for productivity, quality, controls, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with global standards and SOX controls.
• Meet targets on performance scorecard.
• Engage with other verticals like GL, Controllership, Finance, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Accounts Payable/Receivable.
• Provide audit support as required.
• Perfoms other functions as delegated by supervisor.

Accountant I, Accounting — GLSS Global Intercompany will report directly to the GLSS Supervisor, Accounting. The Acountant ensures that Intercompany transactions are properly recorded and quality reconciliations of I/C accounts compliant to SOX controls are completed on time. He should provide solutions for reconciling items, and recommend improvement initiatives within the assigned processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Book Closing related activities on a monthly, quarterly and annually basis.
• Prepare Balance sheet account reconciliations with quality, compliant with SOX requirement, and any open/reconciling items are cleared.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for all operational transactions which includes but not limited to Intercompany cross charges, cost-plus entries, cash settlements for IC trade, loans and interest, netting settlements and IC interest accrual.
• Generate and publish accurate Intercompany reports to relevant stakeholders on a timely manner.
• Perform accounting analysis for Intercompany AR/AP, Loans and interests.
• Be able to identify and resolve variances related to foreign exhange to clear IC balances outages between the affiliates
• Provide appropriate accounting information to customers/ stakeholders/controllers when needed.
• Assist various cross -functional departments within Concentrix in accounting issues and queries. ( Bank Recon Team, Fixed Asset Team Inter - Company Team, Finance Team, Controllership Team, Payroll Team, HR, Treasury, Accounts Payable Team, Account Receivable Team).
• Review financial reports to identify and explain variances.
• Perform accounting analyses and reporting to support decision-making purposes.
• Works with peers and cross-functional teams to drive continuous process improvement that would yield productivity efficiencies, improved quality of output, enhanced controls and compliance, and increase customers satisfaction.
• Ensure that processes are compliant with the global standards and SOX controls
• Meet or exceed targets as pre-determined on the performance scorecard
• Collaborate and maintain strong business engagement with other verticals like core GL, Controllership, Finance, Tax, Trasury, Payroll, Employee expenses, Accounts payable and Accounts receivable teams
• Provides audit support to both internal and external auditors as required
• Perfoms any other function as may be delegated by immediate lead (supervisor)
