We are looking for professional, organized and detail-oriented people to join our Accounting Department.
As an Accountant/Bookkeeper, you will oversee the company's financial data andcompliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable andreceivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
Bookkeepers perform regular accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting and recording general ledger entries, payments andadjustments.
Responsibilities:
Specifically, Accountants and/or Bookkeepers will:
- Maintain records of financial transactions by establishingaccounts and posting transactions as well as ensure legal compliance with government requirements
- Account for financial transactions byestablishing a chart of accounts
- Define and execute bookkeeping policies andprocedures
- Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
- Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
- Maintain general ledgers by transferring subsidiary account summaries
- Balance general ledgers by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries
- Maintain historical records and observe proper filing of documents.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Comply with and enforce compliance to government requirements, and advise managementon recommended actions.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related reports and tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any Accounting related course
- At least 1 year accounting-related work experience
- Self-motivated, diligent and organized, with good work ethic
- Analytical, meticulous and detail-oriented
- Highly proficient with technology and essential computer programs, such as Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel
Preferred (but not required):
- 2-5 years work experience in general accounting and/or bookkeeping
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Possesses background in financial systems
