Job summary

Tenable Fire Engineering Consultancy is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team in Taguig City, Metro Manila. The role focuses on maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing accurate reporting to drive informed decisions.

You will handle month-end close, bank reconciliations, and support audits while collaborating with other departments to improve processes and efficiency. Minimum 2–3 years’ experience and a relevant degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA certification or equivalent is desirable.
• 2–3 years of financial accounting and reporting experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting principles and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Clear communication and ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team.

About the role

Tenable Fire Engineering Consultancy is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team in Taguig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organisation. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing our financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting to support informed decision-making across the business. Your work will directly contribute to the transparency and operational efficiency of our consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliation statements

• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and documented

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling

• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly

• Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to support business planning

• Support external audits by providing documentation and reconciliations as required

• Maintain organised financial records and ensure proper filing and archiving of documents

• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve accounting issues

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement more efficient accounting procedures

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• Professional accounting certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent qualification is highly desirable

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in financial accounting and reporting roles

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with strong data analysis capabilities

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices and relevant regulatory requirements in the Philippines

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies accurately

• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders

• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
