Hive Health Pte Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented junior Accountant to join the finance team in Ortigas, Pasig. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day transactions, and ensuring data integrity across ledgers.

The ideal candidate will have accounting knowledge, proficiency with QuickBooks/Xero, and strong Excel skills. CPA is a plus, and the position requires onsite work 2 days per week in Ortigas.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Interest in compliance and tax records.
• On-site 2x per week in Ortigas, Pasig.
• CPA is a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle tax preparation and maintain tax records.
• Support audits with documentation and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
• Manage the general ledger and posting.
• Document payroll details for employees.
• Reconcile bank statements and other assets regularly.
• Monitor expenses and assist with budget adherence.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records. As an Accountant, you will manage day-to-day financial transactions, oversee accounts, and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Financial Records: Record and manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, compliance, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare Financial Reports: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Tax Preparation: Be responsible for the preparation of tax returns and maintain tax records.
• Spearhead Audits: Provide schedules, documentation and reports for external audits, as needed.
• Compliance: Support in compliance matters in relation to the Insurance Commission and other regulatory bodies.
• Manage Accounts: Oversee the company’s general ledger and ensure all financial data is accurately posted.
• Document Payroll: Ensure complete documentation of employee salaries, wages, bonuses, and deductions in a timely manner.
• Reconcile Accounts: Reconcile bank statements, other assets, and card transactions regularly to ensure accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
• Monitor Expenses: Assist with tracking of company expenses and ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
• Communication: Collaborate with other departments and senior management to resolve any financial discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Must be willing to work onsite in Ortigas, Pasig for 2x a week
• CPA is a plus

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of payroll systems and tax preparation.
• Familiarity with basic financial analysis and budgeting.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms.
