Job summary

Attivo Partners in the Philippines is seeking an Accountant to own critical accounting tasks and help scale client reporting as our roster of tech-enabled startups grows.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working from home with occasional meetups in Pampanga. Expect equipment, stipends, and paid time off as part of a full-time hybrid arrangement.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with standard software solutions including QuickBooks Online, Xero, Netsuite, Bill.com, Gusto, Expensify, and Carta.
• Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Fast learner with strong curiosity and willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting duties in AP, AR, cash management, payroll, fixed assets, and general ledger.
• Assist with monthly close by posting journal entries, reconciliations, and ad-hoc analyses.
• Maintain regular contact with client groups to ensure high-quality service and outputs.
• Assist on projects and ad hoc assignments as needed.

Role Overview

The Accountant is a resourceful problem solver who will take ownership of critical accounting tasks. This team member will be a key player in ensuring the client’s accounting and reporting function will scale and support the client’s rapid growth. Enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key to the success of the Accountant.

Responsibilities

• Perform day to day accounting duties in AP, AR, cash management, payroll, fixed assets, general ledger and other duties as assigned
• Assist with monthly close process by posting monthly journal entries, performing account reconciliations and ad-hoc financial analysis
• Maintain regular contact and build solid working relationships with various client groups to ensure a high level of customer service and work product
• Assist on projects and ad hoc assignments as needed

Requirements

• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Experience with standard software solutions preferred, for example: QuickBooks Online, Xero, Netsuite, Bill.com, Gusto, Expensify, Carta
• Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Fast learner with high degree of professional curiosity and desire to learn

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with direct exposure to accounting operation duties like AP, AR, and cash reconciliations
• Experience working in a fast-paced technology, or professional services environment

Working Arrangement

WFH with minimal meet ups in Pampanga. Frequency is 1x-2x a month.
