Job summary
Boomering is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to become the financial backbone of its fast-growing international eCommerce business in Angeles City, Pampanga.
You will lead offshore finance, design scalable processes, and partner with Australian leadership to drive planning, reporting and compliance across multiple entities while ensuring data integrity across Xero, Cin7 Omni, Shopify and related platforms.
Qualifications
- CPA or CA qualified (or currently completing).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Accountant.
- Experience supporting Australian businesses.
- Experience in ecommerce or consumer products.
- Experience working within multi-entity and international businesses.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring finance staff.
- Experience building or improving finance functions is highly regarded.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead offshore finance function from the ground up.
- Recruit, mentor and manage the in-house Bookkeeper and future finance team members.
- Establish scalable finance processes and internal controls that support growth.
- Partner with Directors and senior leadership on strategic financial planning.
- Prepare monthly management accounts with insightful commentary.
- Maintain reporting through Fathom and KPIs for decisions.
- Develop budgets and rolling forecasts; monitor cashflow.
- Manage month-end and year-end closes; ensure compliance with Australian tax rules.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and payroll; liaise with external accountants.
- Identify opportunities to automate finance processes and improve workflows.

As a Financial Controller
You will become the financial backbone of a fast-growing international eCommerce business. Beyond producing financial reports, you will help design and build a modern finance department capable of supporting expansion into new countries and multiple business entities.
You will take ownership of the finance function, ensuring the integrity of financial data across Xero, Cin7 Omni, Shopify, Fathom and integrated payment platforms while providing commercial insights that assist management with strategic decision-making
- Build and lead the company's offshore finance function from the ground up.
- Recruit, mentor and manage the in-house Bookkeeper and future finance team members.
- Establish scalable finance processes and internal controls that support business growth.
- Partner with Directors and senior leadership on strategic financial planning.
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts with insightful commentary.
- Maintain and enhance reporting through Fathom.
- Analyse performance against budgets and prior periods.
- Produce financial dashboards and KPIs that support business decisions.
- Present meaningful recommendations based on financial trends and analysis.
- Develop and maintain annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Prepare and monitor operational cashflow forecasts.
- Analyse variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Support financial planning for international expansion.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations across all key accounts.
- Ensure compliance with Australian taxation requirements including:
- GST
- BAS
- IAS
- Payroll Tax
- Superannuation
- STP
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors.
- Manage financial integrations between:
- Xero
- Cin7 Omni
- Shopify
- Stripe
- PayPal
- Afterpay
- Banking platforms
- Investigate and resolve integration issues and reconciliation discrepancies.
- Maintain inventory accuracy between operational and accounting systems.
- Improve reporting capability as the business expands into additional countries and entities.
- Oversee Accounts Payable processes and payment runs.
- Supervise payroll processing and compliance.
- Review reconciliations and financial work prepared by the Bookkeeper.
- Ensure finance deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Identify opportunities to automate finance processes.
- Improve reporting structures and financial workflows.
- Develop scalable procedures that support future growth.
- Contribute to finance system implementation and optimisation projects.
