We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will assist with daily accounting tasks, including managing financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with accounting software, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance (preferred).
- Experience with financial reporting, general ledger entries, and month-end/year-end closing.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to perform account reconciliations and journal entries accurately.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax filings.
- Ability to analyze financial data and assist with financial forecasting and budgeting.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
