Ehvert Inc is seeking an independent contractor for the role of 5D BIM Specialist to support large-scale data center projects. 5D BIM Specialist - Independent Contractor

Location: Philippines, Remote.

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor Agreement for Provision of Services (long-term).

Industry: Mission-Critical Facilities, Data Centers.

Role Summary

Support large-scale hyperscale and AI data center projects across North America, focusing on model-based quantities, design change analysis, and BIM data quality. Collaborate closely with BIM/VDC, estimating, and project teams to ensure accurate quantity and cost impacts are reflected in real-time.

What You Will Do

Model-Based Quantification & 5D BIM (Core Focus)

• Extract, manage, and validate model-based quantities from multidisciplinary BIM models using Assemble.
• Ensure quantities are derived from correctly structured and modeled elements.
• Create and maintain consistent quantity breakdowns aligned with data center scopes.
• Maintain quantity accuracy and traceability across model revisions.

Design Change & Impact Analysis

• Perform model comparison and quantity change analysis between Revit model versions.
• Communicate quantity and cost impacts to estimating and project teams.
• Support rapid design iteration typical of hyperscale projects.

BIM Data Quality & Coordination

• Review Revit models for parameter completeness, consistency, and classification.
• Coordinate with BIM authors to resolve issues impacting quantities.
• Support internal BIM and 5D standards aligned with US client requirements.

Collaboration with Estimating & Cost Teams

• Export structured quantity data to Excel or other cost tools.
• Support early design estimating, option comparisons, and value engineering.
• Act as the connection point between BIM/VDC teams and cost-focused stakeholders.

Reporting & Data Visualization

• Prepare quantity reports, change summaries, and dashboards for internal teams and US-based clients.
• Use Power BI to visualize quantities, trends, and design changes.
• Support repeatability and auditability of quantities across program-level projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with BIM models in production, coordination, estimating, or VDC.
• Experience on large-scale, technically complex projects (data centers, mission-critical, industrial, or large commercial).

Software & Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Understanding of model structure, parameters, categories, and modeling logic.
• Experience with Assemble preferred; willingness to learn Assemble welcomed.
• Advanced Excel skills for quantity analysis, exports, and validation.
• Experience with Power BI a strong plus.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud workflows is a plus.

Communication & Other Skills

• English proficiency B1 or higher.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical information to non-BIM stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple models, packages, and deadlines in parallel.
• Comfortable working with distributed teams and US-based clients.
