Job summary

Valerio & Associates Law Offices in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, seeks a recent Philippine Bar examinee for a four-month, full-time, on-site Underbar Associate to gain practical training while awaiting Bar admission. You will work closely with the firm's lawyers on active matters, sharpen legal research and drafting skills, and learn how cases and client work are handled in practice.

There may be an opportunity to join the firm after the engagement, subject to performance and admission to the Bar;

Qualifications

• LL.B. or Juris Doctor degree from a Philippine law school.
• Recently sat the Philippine Bar Examinations and not yet admitted.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Professionalism and discretion with confidential information.
• Willingness to learn from feedback and work full-time on-site.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare briefs, memoranda, and analyses.
• Prepare drafts of pleadings, motions, affidavits, contracts, and correspondence.
• Review records and evidence, prepare case chronologies, and organize files.
• Assist lawyers with hearing preparation and client meetings.
• Track deadlines and coordinate filings and other case requirements.
