Job summary

Keywords Studios is seeking a skilled Hair Artist to design, groom, and texture realistic and stylized hair for game characters, collaborating with character artists and technical teams to meet artistic and technical requirements.

You will sculpt, groom, simulate, and optimize hair assets for real-time rendering in Unreal Engine or Unity, integrating them into the production pipeline and staying current with industry trends. AAA game experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hair modeling, grooming and texturing.
• Proficient with Maya/Blender, ZBrush, XGen, Photoshop CC, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, Unity.
• Strong knowledge of real-time hair workflows.
• Experience in AAA game development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, sculpt, and texture high-quality hair assets.
• Groom, style, and simulate hair for realistic and stylized characters.
• Collaborate with character artists and animators to integrate hair assets into the pipeline.
• Optimize hair for real-time rendering in Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Implement physics-based hair movement and ensure natural behavior.
• Stay updated with industry trends and research new techniques.
• Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges related to hair rendering and performance.
