Job summary

Arrow are seeking an experienced 2nd Officer for a one-month temporary contract onboard a 75m private M/Y, to assist with the crossing. Although temporary, there is the opportunity for the role to become permanent to the right candidate.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a yacht at the beginning of a remarkable new chapter, with a worldwide itinerary including Bermuda, the Caribbean, Galápagos Islands & an extensive Pacific crossing to New Zealand, where the yacht will be based for the

Qualifications

• OOW certification and prior watchkeeping experience on a yacht.
• Experience as OOW on a vessel of similar size is required.
• SSO and STCW ENG1 are mandatory.
• Watersports instructor credentials are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with navigation and watchkeeping as 2nd Officer onboard a 75m private yacht.
• Support the crossing and itinerary execution.
• Join in Barcelona on 17th Sept and contribute to a positive, no-drama crew environment.

Job description

Arrow are seeking an experienced 2nd Officer for a one-month temporary contract onboard a 75m private M/Y, to assist with the crossing.

Although temporary, due to the tight time frame, there is the opportunity for the role to become permanent to the right candidate.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a yacht at the beginning of a remarkable new chapter, with a worldwide itinerary including Bermuda, the Caribbean, Galápagos Islands & an extensive Pacific crossing to New Zealand, where the yacht will be based for the 2027 winter.

The permanent role is rotational 2:2.

The yacht has a new owner who has previously owned smaller vessels & genuinely values the crew, loyalty & longevity. You will be joining a newly formed team who thrive in a supportive, hands-on, no-drama environment, where teamwork & mutual respect are at the heart of the programme.

The ideal candidate will be a hands on, experienced, confident OOW with proven experience onboard a similar-sized yacht.

Requirements

• OOW
• Previous experience on a similar sized yacht as a OOW
• SSO
• STCW & ENG1
• Valid B1/B2 visa (only required if the position becomes permanent)
• Watersports Instructor a bonus
• Professional, adaptable & team-focused
• Male due to cabin arrangements
• Must be available for 17th Sept to join the yacht in Barcelona
