Job summary

Jupiter Hospital in Pune is seeking a Dialysis Technician to support the Nephrology unit. The role involves patient assessment, machine preparation, and safe dialysis delivery while adhering to aseptic practices.

The candidate will maintain dialysis records, prepare solutions and heparin, and assist during sessions, ensuring equipment cleanliness and a respectful work environment.

Qualifications

• Patient care oriented; requires good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of dialysis procedures and infection control practices.
• Ability to operate dialysis machines and associated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment and care during dialysis.
• Preparation of machine and dialyzer for dialysis sessions.
• Preparation of solution and heparin for dialysis.
• Initiation and termination of dialysis sessions.
• Washing and labeling dialyzers, tubing and maintaining proper labeling.
• Follow strict aseptic precautions throughout procedures.
• Fill dialysis proforma with predialysis weight, dry weight, UF profile, heparin dose, pump and dialysate speeds, sodium profiling, duration, access condition, and complications.
• Inform senior technicians on stock updates and inventory needs.
• Maintain all records and registers of the unit and keep the environment clean and safe.
• Attend emergency dialysis as rostered by senior technicians.
• Cleaning, disinfection and maintenance of dialysis machines; maintain department cleanliness.
• Maintain dignity and respect among colleagues.

• Patient assessment.
• Preparation of machine/ Dialyzer for dialysis.
• Preparation of solution and Heparin for dialysis.
• Initiation of dialysis & termination.
• Washing dialyzers, tubing’s and keeping them safely after proper labeling.
• Follow strict aseptic precaution.
• Filling all dialysis related details in Dialysis proforma e.g. predialysis weight, dry weight, Ultra filtration profile, heparin dose, blood pump speed, dialysate speed, sodium profiling, duration of dialysis, access condition, complications during dialysis and number of reuse.
• Inventory Oriented:
• Informing the senior technicians on stock updates.
• Medication related: Not applicable
• Department related:
• Maintain all records & registers of unit.
• Maintain congenial atmosphere in the unit
• Attending emergency dialysis as per the roster prepared by the senior technicians.
• Cleaning, disinfection and Maintenance of dialysis machines.
