Job summary

TRIGYN TECHNOLOGIES seeks a Senior Drupal Developer with cloud hosting experience to work remotely. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing Drupal-based websites on Azure/AWS, implementing security patches, and building templates for UN-related content.

You will collaborate with ICT focal points and UN divisions to deploy new Drupal sites, ensure security and performance, and support ongoing web infrastructure improvements. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of ICT system administration, web design and development, or cloud technologies.
• Proven experience with Drupal website management, including core, module and security patch updates, especially Drupal 10 and 11.
• Hands-on experience in administration of Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud environments.
• Experience deploying and managing web applications on Azure, including App Service, Azure Database for MySQL, and Azure Container Registry/Container Apps for hosting containerized workloads.
• Azure Front Door: Configuring Azure Front Door for global load balancing, CDN caching, SSL/TLS termination, custom domains, and Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules to improve site speed, availability, and security.
• Experience in working in or with UN organizations or other international institutions is an asset.

• Conduct bug fixes/enhancements for Client’s Drupal websites.
• Develop common templates to support Client’s substantive work, such as Conference template on Drupal.
• Create new websites to support Client’s substantive work, such as Highlights Report.
• Work with UNGSC colleagues for deployment of new Drupal websites or enhancements of existing Drupal websites.
• Support integration and consistency across Client websites and digital platforms.

Trigyn has an opportunity for an Senior Drupal Developer(Cloud Hosting Experience). This resource will be working Remotely.

Job Responsibilities:

The objective of the assignment is to provide technical expertise and hands-on support to enhance the performance, security, and sustainability of Client’s ICT infrastructure and digital platforms, mainly on bug fixes/enhancements/development of the Drupal websites through:

• Regular maintenance and security updates for Client’s departmental and divisional websites.
• Conduct bug fixes/enhancements/development on Client’s Drupal websites.
• Technical support to divisional web focal points on website related issues.
• Assistance in strengthening ICT compliance, especially in cybersecurity.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Public Information Office (P4) at SPCS and in close collaboration with ICT focal points across client divisions, the contractor will perform the following tasks:

• Maintain and enhance the Client’s publications website on Azure to ensure the Drupal core and all security patches and modules are up to date and incorporate more content type to the site.
• Conduct bug fixes and enhancements for Client’s Drupal websites hosted by Client.
• Develop common templates to support Client’s substantive work, such as Conference template on Drupal.
• Create new websites to support Client’s substantive work, such as Highlights Report.
• Work with UNGSC colleagues for the deployment of the new Drupal websites or enhancements of existing Drupal websites.
• Support integration and consistency across Client websites and digital communication platforms.

Expected Deliverables

• Update and secure Client Publications website to the latest Drupal version with all modules and patches applied.
• Conduct bug fixes/enhancements identified for the Client Publications website.
• Conduct enhancements identified for the EAPD website.
• Conduct bug fixes/enhancements for other Client divisional websites.
• Documentation of technical procedures and lessons learned.
• Monthly activity reports summarizing progress, challenges, and recommendations.

Qualifications

Education:

• A first-level university degree (bachelor’s or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:

• At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in ICT system administration, web design and development, or cloud technologies.
• Proven experience with Drupal website management, including core, module and security patch updates, especially on Drupal 10 and 11.
• Hands-on experience in administration of Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud environments. Experience deploying and managing web applications on Azure, including App Service, Azure Database for MySQL, and Azure Container Registry/Container Apps for hosting containerized workloads.

• Dockerization & Containers: Skill in Dockerization and container-based deployment, including writing Docker files and building images.
• Docker Compose: Using Docker Compose to run multi-container setups (PHP/Apache or Nginx, MySQL, Redis) for consistent development, testing, and production environments.
• Redis Caching: Skilled in implementing Redis caching for frequently accessed data, sessions, and query results.
• Cache Management: Using expiration policies and cache invalidation to reduce database load and improve response times.

Language:

• Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
