GlobalLogic in Peru is seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails backend engineer to own end-to-end systems in production. You will design architectures, model data, and optimize for performance and reliability.

You will work with product teams to build API-driven services at scale, mentor engineers, and drive root-cause analysis for production issues. Strong communication and ownership are essential.

Requirements

• Core skills
• Ruby / Ruby on Rails (API-first development)
• PostgreSQL with strong query optimization experience
• Background job processing (Sidekiq or similar)
• RSpec and test-driven development
• API design and best practices
• 8+ years building backend systems with Rails
• Strong ownership mindset; able to design, build, and operate services end-to-end
• Experience scaling systems and improving performance
• Comfortable debugging production issues and driving root cause fixes
• Solid understanding of data modeling and tradeoffs
• Ability to mentor engineers and raise the bar on code quality
