Job summary

Near Horizons is seeking a Project Manager to own end-to-end delivery across technology projects, coordinating planning, sprint execution, release tracking, and go-live. You will bridge engineering, product, and stakeholders, ensuring visibility, schedule adherence, and thorough documentation.

As an AI-first team, you will actively use AI tools for planning, reporting, documentation, and process automation, including Claude, ChatGPT, and Atlassian Intelligence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management in a technology/software environment.
• Hands-on with Jira and Confluence.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid methodologies.
• Experience managing software releases: versioning, deployment, rollback planning.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) in PM work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and track projects in Jira.

You’ll be the connective tissue between engineering, product, and stakeholders, keeping work visible, on schedule, and well-documented.

We’re an AI-first team: the PM is expected to actively use AI tools in planning, reporting, documentation, and process automation.

Main responsibilities include planning and tracking projects in Jira, owning release management (calendars, readiness, cutover/rollback plans), maintaining documentation in Confluence, partnering with engineering on SDLC practices, facilitating agile ceremonies, identifying risks and blockers early, reporting project health to leadership, and using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Atlassian Intelligence) to automate reports, release notes, and documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of project management experience in a technology/software environment
• Hands-on expertise with Jira and Confluence
• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid methodologies
• Experience managing software releases: versioning, deployment, rollback planning
• Demonstrated use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) in daily PM work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must currently live in Belo Horizonte, Brazil

Desirable

• PMP, CSM, or similar certification
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release automation
• Familiarity with ITSM/change management
• Experience with AI/LLM-powered automation and basic prompt engineering
