Ambu is seeking a Process Engineer to support our manufacturing site in Mexico. You will help ensure the site runs smoothly, support testing, pilot production, transfer, installation, validation, and documentation of new products and equipment integration.

Responsibilities include capacity assessment, process improvements, product validation, inspections, and providing training to production teams, while complying with safety and quality standards.

Formación

  • An Associate degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar.
  • 1-3 years of experience or equivalent knowledge and skills.
  • Experience in the medical device industry or medical field.
  • Experience in GR&R, SVs, Eng. Studies, Protocols (Preferred).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • English language medium to advance.

Responsabilidades

  • Assess shop capacity and recommend solutions to meet demand.
  • Identify and implement processes improvements to increase output and reduce costs.
  • Support new product validation programs and ensure launch readiness.
  • Perform walkthroughs, inspections, product evaluation and testing as needed.
  • Conduct engineering test evaluations such as GR&R, SVs, and testing methods.
  • Understand and use assembly docs (schematics, BOMs, visuals, testing tools).
  • Provide direction and training for production staff.
  • Advise on scheduling and staffing needs.

Objective

The Process Engineer provide engineering support for testing, production-pilot, transfer, installation, validation, start up, stabilization and documentation of new products and equipment integration into manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities And Essential Functions
  • Assess shop capacity and make recommendations to increase capacity to meet business demands.
  • Identify & implement shop floor process improvements that increase output and reduce overall costs.
  • Assist MFG team in developing new product validation program and assure compliance to reduce the launch time.
  • Perform walkthroughs, inspections, product evaluation and testing as needed.
  • Conduct Engineering test evaluations such are: GR&R, SVs, Test Method, Criticality.
  • Ability to understand and utilize assembly documentation such as but not limited to the following: Schematics, BOM's, Visuals, Debug, Testing tools and procedures.
  • Provide clear direction and training for production associates.
  • Advise on scheduling and staffing needs.
  • Provides guidance, training, and leadership to new technicians or clerks.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated success in working across functions, organizations, and all levels of management.
  • Achieving results through other team members and suppliers. Drive for action and quality focused.
  • Must be a highly motivated, proactive, self-directed worker.
Qualifications / Education
  • An Associates of Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience or equivalent knowledge and skills to perform the position responsibilities.
  • Experience in the medical device industry or medical field.
  • Experience in GR&R, SVs, Eng. Studies, Protocols (Preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • English language medium to advance.

This is a manufacturing facility and as a result, employees have the potential to be exposed to noise, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, machinery, vibration, or other workplace hazards controlled within compliance of current safety and health standards.
