About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer to join a high-performing technology team in Lima. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys building scalable SaaS and PaaS solutions, working across modern web applications, APIs, cloud technologies, and software architecture.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with software engineers, product managers, operations teams, and senior leadership, contributing not only to development but also to technical decisions, architecture, innovation, and continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for a senior engineer who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable single-page applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain Node.js APIs, services, and microservices using Express.
• Develop solutions supporting multi-tenant SaaS and PaaS platforms.
• Work with both modern applications and legacy backend systems, helping evolve the technology ecosystem.
• Translate business and stakeholder needs into effective, scalable software solutions.
• Contribute to application architecture and high-level technical design, communicating solutions clearly across technical and business teams.
• Evaluate new technologies and develop proofs of concept (POCs) to validate innovative solutions.
• Partner with engineers and technical teams to deliver applications that are:
  • Fast, responsive, and scalable.
  • Optimized for modern and mobile experiences.
  • Capable of supporting dynamic branding and styling without requiring redeployment.
  • Aligned with modern accessibility standards.
• Help build highly observable distributed applications, supporting production monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with Operations and DevOps teams to support reliable CI/CD pipelines and production releases.
• Create and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, infrastructure, security, and data management.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
• Promote engineering best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate development, improve code quality, and increase engineering productivity.

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

• 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering with strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Expert-level experience developing Single-Page Applications (SPA) using Angular 2+.
• Strong experience building APIs, services, and microservices with Node.js and Express.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and application design.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application development.
• Experience working with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or similar container orchestration environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional fluency in English and Spanish.
