Applaudo is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to design, build, and scale backend services using Python and AWS Lambda. You will collaborate across backend and frontend to deliver robust RESTful APIs and cloud-based integrations.

You will contribute to frontend work with Vue.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks, while ensuring code quality, production stability, and timely delivery in an Agile setting. Strong English communication is required.

Formación

• 6+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack/Bakend/Software Engineer.
• Strong experience with Python, REST APIs, AWS Lambda, and MongoDB.
• Experience with Vue.js, TypeScript, Git, and Agile development.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and AWS Lambda.
• Build, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs for cloud-based applications.
• Analyze requirements and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal supervision.
• Develop software following established architectural standards and best practices.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and maintain production systems.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver reliable APIs and end-to-end functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and identify improvements and risks.
• Contribute to frontend development using Vue.js as part of a full stack team.
• Communicate with technical stakeholders and support continuous improvement.

You are a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus who enjoys building scalable, reliable, and high-performing applications. You thrive working within established architectures, quickly understanding existing codebases, and delivering production-ready solutions with minimal guidance.

You are proactive, analytical, and take ownership of your work, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams while contributing across both backend and frontend development. You are passionate about writing clean, maintainable code and continuously improving software quality and engineering practices.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer, Backend Engineer, or Software Engineer.
• Strong professional experience building and maintaining backend applications using Python.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, layered application design, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience building serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
• Experience working with MongoDB.
• Experience contributing to frontend development using Vue.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support skills.
• Experience working with Git and Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to understand existing codebases, identify technical risks, and work independently within established architectures.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AWS API Gateway.
• Experience with Serverless Framework or AWS SAM.
• Experience with Auth0 or Amazon Cognito.
• Experience with WebSockets or other real-time communication protocols.
• Experience using JetBrains IDEs (PyCharm or IntelliJ).

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and AWS Lambda.

• Analyze technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal supervision.
• Develop software following established architectural standards and engineering best practices.
• Debug, troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain production systems.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers to deliver reliable APIs and end-to-end functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and proactively identify technical improvements and risks.
• Contribute to frontend development using Vue.js as part of a full stack engineering team.
• Communicate effectively with technical stakeholders and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Full Stack or Backend Software Engineer.
• Strong experience with Python, REST APIs, AWS Lambda, and MongoDB.
• Experience with Vue.js, TypeScript, Git, and Agile development.
• Strong software architecture, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced English proficiency.
