Job summary

Mace is seeking a Power Platform developer to work on client-facing, digital tool projects within a Digital Centre of Excellence. You will build and enhance SharePoint Online sites, Power Apps, flows and pages to support project delivery for clients.

The role emphasises autonomous delivery, collaboration with project teams, and ongoing learning of Power Platform features and best practices. Hybrid working options may be discussed.

Qualifications

• 18 months of experience with the Power Platform stack.
• Microsoft Associate level certification (PL-200) or equivalent.
• Uses PnP PowerShell to create site schemas and automate tasks.
• Builds forms or UIs with validation and List controls.
• Has expertise in PowerFX formulas and functions.
• Integrates Power Apps with external services via REST APIs.
• Creates efficient flows using best practices; handles errors and parallel branches.
• Knows HTTP connectors, Parse JSON and dynamic expressions.
• Maintains a high standard of technical delivery.

Responsibilities

The Project

The role is for a developer specializing in the Microsoft Power Platform technology stack (SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Pages). It is a client-facing role supporting fee-earning projects and programmes. As part of your role, you will interface with the Mace project team and occasionally stakeholders from other organizations, if working on a joint venture project or directly for a client. You will be part of the Digital Centre of Excellence community, sharing knowledge and experience with other BI & Data professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from and amongst experienced practitioners and further develop your technical skill set.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Working autonomously on smaller or low complexity projects, or as part of a larger project team responsible for a particular deliverable or area of delivery.
• The principal responsibility of the role is to contribute to the development of digital tools, processes and outputs, including collaboration sites and associated user interfaces, that support the wider project team and enable better delivery of projects for our clients.
• You will be expected to adhere to a structured development lifecycle that includes requirements definition, design, development and testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, handover and post-implementation support.
• You should be able to gather basic requirements and create a task list to manage your own deliverables, including maintaining regular contact with direct stakeholders.
• You will be expected to attend all training and other sessions organised by the centre of excellence, contributing through presentation of sessions or content aligned to your interests.
• You must take responsibility for keeping your knowledge of Power Platform up to date through self-directed learning and independent exploration of new tools and functionality.

You’ll Need To Have

• A minimum of 18 months of experience with the technology stack is expected.
• Holds a Microsoft Associate level certification (or equivalent certification issued by another provider) in your area of specialism, e.g. PL-200 for Power Platform.
• Makes use of PnP PowerShell to create a site schema (columns, content types, Lists, views) and to automate different tasks.
• Creates forms or other user interfaces using custom validation and List controls where appropriate.
• Has expertise in controls, screens, collections and variable types.
• Demonstrates some expertise in PowerFX formulas and functions.
• Experience of integrating Power Apps with external services through custom connectors, REST APIs and web services.
• Creates efficient flows by making use of industry best practices.
• Makes effective use of advanced features such as error handling, parallel branches and conditions.
• Knows and uses HTTP connectors, Parse JSON and dynamic expressions.
• Maintains a high standard of technical delivery.

You’ll Also Have

• Any knowledge or experience of supporting tools and technologies such as Python, JSON, JavaScript, Plumsail or Lists would be a benefit but is not a requirement.
• Any experience with Power BI is an advantage but not a requirement.
