Job summary

Redstone Search Group is working with a primary aluminium manufacturing company to hire a Maintenance Services Manager to join their team in Doha, Qatar. The role leads the technical maintenance function in a large-scale production environment, overseeing multidisciplinary activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil assets.

You will drive reliability, plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance safely, collaborate with Operations, Planning and Reliability

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in maintenance.
• At least 5 years in management leadership.
• Strong technical background in aluminium/metals processing or heavy industry.
• Proven track record leading large, multidisciplinary maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical maintenance function in a large-scale aluminium production plant.
• Oversee mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, fabrication, and related maintenance activities.
• Ensure planned and corrective work is delivered safely and efficiently.
• Drive equipment reliability and plant availability, partnering with Operations and Reliability teams.

Redstone Search Group are working with a primary aluminium manufacturing company looking to hire a Maintenance Services Managerto join their team based in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Lead the technical maintenance function within a large-scale aluminium production environment, managing maintenance services across a complex, continuous-process industrial plant.
• Oversee multidisciplinary maintenance activities spanning mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, fabrication, machining, HVAC, cranes, vehicles, fire systems and civil/infrastructure assets.
• Take overall responsibility for plant maintenance execution, ensuring planned and corrective work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard.
• Drive equipment reliability and plant availability, working closely with Operations, Planning and Reliability teams to improve maintenance programmes and resolve technical issues.
• Role reports to the Chief Technical Officer

Key Qualifications / Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience, including 5+ years in management, with a strong technical maintenance background in aluminium, metals processing or a comparable heavy industrial environment. Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary maintenance team is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or higher, with strong expertise in systematic maintenance, asset/facilities management, project management, HSE and reliability improvement.
• Strong understanding of the maintenance within aluminium operations, ideally gained within a smelter or similarly complex, asset-intensive production facility.
• Broad multidisciplinary maintenance expertise, with strong exposure to mechanical maintenance alongside electrical, instrumentation, fabrication, machining and plant infrastructure.
• Role is to be located in Doha, Qatar
