Sulzer is seeking a Sr. Rotating Equipment Engineer to provide expert technical support to customers, sales, service centers and warranty teams across Oil & Gas, Power and Water projects.

You will lead root cause analyses, conduct on-site assessments and coordinate with global engineering teams to develop repair and upgrade proposals. The role requires a mechanical engineering degree and 10+ years in rotating equipment, with strong CAD skills and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in the rotating equipment industry.
• Experience in centrifugal pumps and turbomachinery for Water, Power, and Oil & Gas industries.
• Proficiency in rotating equipment design and selection software.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilités

• Provide technical support to customers, sales, service centers and warranty teams.
• Reply to technical queries and attend meetings with customers for clarifications.
• Review inspection reports and provide recommendations for repair or upgrade.
• Conduct root cause failure analysis with data gathered from site and reports.
• Take equipment measurements on-site using vibration analyzers and flow meters and prepare final reports.
• Liaise with Sulzer factories and overseas engineering teams for information and coordination.

Join our global team to grow your expertise and develop innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society.# About the roleJob Summary Responsibility for provision of technical support to customers, sales, service centers and warranty teams, and identifying opportunities for upgrades and services predominantly in Oil & Gas, Power and Water industries. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide technical support to customer and Front-end team:A Reply to technical queriesB Attend meeting with customers for technical clarifications * Provide technical support to service centers and field service including but not limited to:A Review inspection reportB Provide recommendations for method of repairC Provide possible cause of failure based on observations made on components during inspectionD Provide recommendation of upgrade based on findingsE Provide guidance and recommendations for strip down, assembly and setting for complex equipment in liaison with ExpertsF Assist them with instructions for complex commissioning or troubleshooting * Conduct root cause failure analysis which consists of:A Liaise with customer to gather data required for analysisB Reviewing site data and reportsC Prepare detailed root cause failure analysis report with background, result of analysis and recommendations * Conduct on-site performance assessment which consist of:A Take measurement on equipment at site with vibration analyzer, ultra-sonic flow meter, thermodynamic method.B Analyze data collected during the site assessmentC prepare detailed report with background, result of analysis and recommendations * Liaise with Sulzer factories and oversea engineering teams when additional information is required on equipment to reply to customer queries, support service center or conduct root cause failure analysis* Liaise with Sales, Tendering and Engineering for the development of repair and retrofit proposals that meet customer requirements and can be successfully executed.* Conduct detail engineering required for modification and upgrade of equipment in the service center, by overseeing and arranging drawings, Bill Of Material, specifications.* Conduct or supervise reverse engineering of components in the service center or at customer site with conventional measuring tools and 3D scan.* Participate in and actively support company initiatives that support growth.* Provide technical support to Warranty teams for issues encountered during installation, commissioning, operation and repair of rotating equipment.* Support warranty claim investigations, including troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis and preparation of technical reports with recommendations.**Qualifications / Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.* 10+ years of experience in the rotating equipment industry.* Experience in centrifugal pumps and turbomachinery for Water, Power, and Oil & Gas industries.* Knowledge of industry processes, practices, and standards.* Proficiency in rotating equipment design and selection software.* Design, drafting, and CAD (2D/3D) skills.* Strong computer skills.* Fluent in English (written and spoken).* **Estimated Travel Time:** 30% to 40% (national and international)* Ability to travel and visit customer sites frequently with assignment period from 1 day to 2 weeks.* Communication & influencing* Customer relationship management* Time management* Adaptability & initiative* Attention to detail* Technical & commercial acumen* Project management
