Job summary

fonio.ai is seeking a Senior Finance & Legal professional in Vienna to own all legal matters for the company. As the sole legal expert, you will review customer contracts, draft employment paperwork, oversee GDPR/data protection, trademarks, disputes, and company setup across multiple jurisdictions.

Ideal candidates are qualified Austrian or German lawyers with law firm training who can give clear answers, work independently, and coordinate with outside firms when necessary, while explaining

This is a hands‑on role as the only legal person at a fast-growing company, covering customer contracts, employment paperwork, data protection, trademarks, disputes and company set‑up across several countries. A strong candidate is a qualified Austrian or German lawyer with law firm training and some years inside a tech or SaaS business. They give quick, clear answers, work well alone and pick the right outside firms when needed.
