PCI Energy Solutions, a leading software provider for energy markets, seeks a Senior Software Developer with advanced English to join the team in Lima. You will design, build, and optimize scalable backend systems using Java/Spring, Docker, Kubernetes, and data lake technologies.

You will collaborate with product, design and ops teams, ensure robust CI, monitor system health with observability tools, and contribute to continual improvements in architecture and security.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, System Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Java and Spring (Backend).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment/monitoring on Kubernetes.
• Hands-on with Data Lakes or Lakehouse architectures (Iceberg, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Experience building data observability solutions and alerting.
• Familiar with observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK).
• Strong documentation and presentation skills; able to explain complex tech to diverse audiences.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and microservices; SQL and NoSQL experience.
• Availability to work on-site Tue–Thu (Magdalena, Lima) and advanced English.

Software Developer - Senior (INGLES AVANZADO)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of software systems, ensuring that projects are built with performance, scalability, and maintainability in mind.
• Participate in code reviews, establish and follow best coding practices, and ensure high-quality standards across the codebase.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the technical implementation aligns with business goals.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance and scalability issues in production environments.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends and contribute to the adoption of new tools and processes that improve development efficiency.
• Continuous Integration: Ensure proper testing and continuous integration processes are followed to maintain software reliability and minimize downtime

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, System Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in software engineering with Java and Spring (Backend)
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and/or Kubernetes, including deploying and managing alerting/monitoring components on Kubernetes
• Hands-on programming experience (not just familiarity) with Data Lakes or Lakehouse architectures, such as Apache Iceberg, Snowflake, or Databricks
• Experience building or improving data observability solutions — e.g., detecting missing or incorrect data and triggering automated alerts
• Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK Stack) to monitor system health and diagnose production issues quickly
• Strong presentation and documentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture
• Understanding of system scalability, performance tuning, and security best practices
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Availability to work on site from Tuesday to Thursday (Magdalena, Lima).
• Advanced English Level.
