PCI Energy Solutions in Lima, Peru seeks a Senior Software Developer with advanced English to design, develop, and optimize software for energy-market solutions. You will work with Java/Spring, containers, and data lakes, contributing to scalable backend systems and observability-driven operations.

Role requires on-site presence Tue–Thu at Magdalena, Lima, with a competitive salary package and a bonus structure. Hybrid work details and snacks in-office are offered.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Java and Spring (Backend).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including deploying and managing monitoring components on Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Data Lakes/Lakehouse architectures (Iceberg, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Experience building data observability solutions and automated alerts.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK Stack).
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and OOP.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices.
• Understanding of scalability, performance tuning and security best practices.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• On-site availability Tue-Thu (Magdalena, Lima).
• Advanced English level.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of software systems, ensuring that projects are built with performance, scalability, and maintainability in mind.
• Participate in code reviews, establish and follow best coding practices, and ensure high-quality standards across the codebase.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the technical implementation aligns with business goals.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance and scalability issues in production environments.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends and contribute to the adoption of new tools and processes that improve development efficiency.
• Continuous Integration: Ensure proper testing and continuous integration processes are followed to maintain software reliability and minimize downtime

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, System Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in software engineering with Java and Spring (Backend)
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and/or Kubernetes, including deploying and managing alerting/monitoring components on Kubernetes
• Hands-on programming experience (not just familiarity) with Data Lakes or Lakehouse architectures, such as Apache Iceberg, Snowflake, or Databricks
• Experience building or improving data observability solutions — e.g., detecting missing or incorrect data and triggering automated alerts
• Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK Stack) to monitor system health and diagnose production issues quickly
• Strong presentation and documentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture
• Understanding of system scalability, performance tuning, and security best practices
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Availability to work on site from Tuesday to Thursday (Magdalena, Lima).
• Advanced English Level.
