We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Engineer to support our growing portfolio of commercial construction projects in San Diego. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a critical role in coordinating design, preconstruction, and field operations to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects.
• Lead the preparation and review of submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedules.
• Oversee document control, drawing logs, and project records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in job site meetings and provide regular updates on project progress.
• Analyze project drawings and specifications to ensure constructability and adherence to contract requirements.
• Support cost tracking, forecasting, and invoice review.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction project engineering.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and project scheduling.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• LEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainable construction practices is a bonus.
