The City of Vincent is seeking motivated Lifeguards to join our team at Beatty Park Leisure Centre in Peru, Amazonas. The role involves supervising public safety, providing high-quality customer service, and maintaining a safe environment.

Formación

About the Role

Beatty Park Leisure Centre is looking for competent and motivated Lifeguards to join our close‑knit customer‑focused team.

Key Duties

• Public safety: supervise public use of the facility, attend to any first aid cases, conduct water tests and attend regular in‑service training sessions.
• Programming: set up and dismantle, as well as ensure safety and security, of equipment for programs.
• Customer Service: Provide a high level of internal and external customer service and comply with the Council’s Customer Service Charter.
• Workplace Health and Safety: ensure that work area is maintained in a safe, clean, and tidy condition, so that risk of accidents occurring is reduced to a minimum and exercise a duty of care regarding own safety and that of others.

Qualifications

• A strong swimmer with the fitness ability to endure real and/or test ‘rescue’ swims.
• Previous experience working in a leisure centre environment is highly regarded.
• Pool Lifeguard Award or equivalent.
• Provide First Aid Certificate.
• Resuscitation Certificate and Oxygen Training (desirable).
• A Pool Management Certificate will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Requirements

Successful candidates will be available to work a range of shifts including weekends. We are looking for individuals who can show initiative, build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and demonstrate a friendly “can‑do” attitude with a strong customer‑service ethic.
