Job summary

MSWA is seeking a Care Support Worker in Residential Services to assist customers living in shared homes, promoting safety, independence and well-being in a home-like setting. You will work as part of a close-knit team to deliver person-centred care around the clock.

In this role you will help with personal care, daily living tasks and life-skills development, while documenting care plans and maintaining safety. A supportive team culture and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (or equivalent).
• Experience in disability, aged care, or residential support.
• Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends, sleepovers, and public holidays.
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certificate.
• Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with personal care, including bathing/showering, feeding, dressing, grooming, bowel and catheter care, and manual handling.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as cleaning, meals, and household routines.
• Support customers to build life skills and independence.
• Facilitate community access and social participation.
• Medication assistance, domestic assistance and documentation.
• Implement individual care plans and behaviour support strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment.
• Accurately document care and report any changes in customer wellbeing.
• Complete all mandatory training annually.
