The E3 Company seeks a Field Applications Engineer to support technical sales growth in oilfield services. The role requires regular travel to client offices, well sites, and field facilities to understand client needs and translate them into technically and commercially viable solutions.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in engineering and 3–5 years in oilfield operations, with strong communication skills and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering field.
  • 3–5 years experience in oilfield services or related upstream operations preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel and valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and standard business reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support technical sales growth through regular client visits to offices, facilities, and field locations.
  • Identify and develop technical and commercial opportunities aligned with company products.
  • Serve as primary technical interface between clients, sales, operations, and management.

Job description

Support the company’s technical sales growth by actively engaging with clients through regular visits to customer offices and field locations. Identify and develop business opportunities, understand client requirements, and deliver technical solutions aligned with the company’s products and services. Serve as the primary technical interface between clients, the sales team, operations, and management, ensuring customer requirements are accurately captured, effectively communicated, and translated into practical technical and commercial solutions that drive business growth.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular visits to client offices, operational facilities, and field locations.
  • Identify, develop, and pursue technical and commercial opportunities that support business growth.
  • Conduct technical discussions with client engineering, operations, and management teams to understand operational challenges and business needs.
  • Assess client requirements and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop fit-for-purpose technical solutions aligned with the company’s products and services.
  • Visit well sites and field operations to observe activities, gather customer feedback, and identify opportunities to improve operational performance through the company’s technologies.
  • Prepare and support technical proposals, presentations, and customer meetings.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Management to ensure proposed solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, and operationally practical.
  • Support the introduction of new products, technology demonstrations, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Provide regular market intelligence and customer feedback to management, including client requirements, market trends, competitive insights, and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer visits, technical discussions, opportunities, action items, and project progress using company reporting systems.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between clients and internal teams throughout the sales and solution development process.

  • Work effectively in both office and field environments while complying with all company and client HSE policies and procedures.

Desired Education Requirements and Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in oilfield services, well intervention, pressure pumping, drilling, completions, production operations, or other related upstream oil and gas operations is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of oilfield operations and the ability to discuss operational and engineering challenges with clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to translate technical discussions into business opportunities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as within cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and standard business reporting tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
Required Skills

  • Physically capable to lift 50lbs.
  • No DMV major moving violations and/or DUI/DWI convictions within the previous 36 months
  • Adequate knowledge with a computer
