Job summary

Galfar Engg. & Contracting SAOG in Muscat is seeking an experienced civil engineer to oversee structural works on site, ensuring quality and schedule adherence. You will manage manpower, materials and daily progress while mentoring workers on QHSE requirements.

A Diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s in civil engineering with 5–7 years of relevant experience is required. Role focuses on execution of reinforced concrete structures, bridges, culverts and retaining walls, with a strong emphasis on safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering is acceptable with relevant field experience.
• 5–7 years of structural construction experience in heavy civil works.

Responsibilities

• Execute structural works at site as per drawings and schedules.
• Supervise works ensuring compliance with specifications and quality.
• Assign tasks to manpower and manage materials per daily plan.
• Prepare daily programs and report site progress.
• Conduct daily worker meetings to maintain productivity and control costs, including QHSE training.
• Track records of site progress and prepare reports.
• Review drawings with Sr Engineer for clarifications.
• Measure performance of workers and equipment against company norms.
• Implement and maintain safety standards at work locations.
