Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in Oman is seeking a strategic Spa & Wellness Director responsible for developing the yearly budget, re-forecasting as needed, and ensuring the financial performance of the Spa and related departments. The role includes compiling the Spa monthly P&L and statistics, reviewing daily revenue with the Hotel Manager, and setting targets and retention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual budget for Spa fitness and Kids Club.
• Re-forecast budgets as necessary.
• Oversee financial performance of Spa and related departments.
• Compile Spa monthly P&L and statistics.
• Review daily Spa revenue updates and discuss with Hotel Manager.
• Establish strategies to achieve targets.
• Review therapist schedules and room utilization to maximize Spa yield.
• Set achievable goals for Spa colleagues including treatment and retail targets.
• Plan yearly Capex.
• Work closely with Director of Finance at all times.
• Support the Director of Finance in overall hotel financial performance.
• Control operational supplies and labor in Spa & Wellness.
• Develop Spa marketing plan with Director of Marketing Communications and execute it.
• Develop marketing strategies for Spa & Wellness.
• Develop yearly event calendar with Director of Marketing Communications.
• Collaborate with Marketing Communications and Public Relations Manager.
• Conduct market research on trends in Qatar and internationally.
• Liaise with Spa Directors for group promotions.
• Attend sales calls as needed.
• Develop strategies for female and male hair, beauty salons, and Spa & Fitness.
• Conduct annual performance reviews and coaching.
• Oversee recruitment, induction, training, development, appraisal, and discipline.
