Job summary

Oman Global Trading & Investment LLC is seeking a procurement professional to implement strategies that optimise efficiency, quality and cost across all purchases. You will support risk management for contracts and collaborate with project teams to fulfill procurement needs.

The successful candidate will negotiate with suppliers, monitor spending, and ensure accuracy of invoices while contributing to profitability within budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, operations management or equivalent is required.
• Accredited certification will be a plus, e.g., CIPS.

Responsibilities

• Implement procurement strategy to maximise efficiency, reliability, quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness for purchases.
• Assist the Procurement Lead in risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality, deadlines, and expectations.
• Control spending and work towards long-term savings on procurement costs.
• Work closely with the project team to understand procurement requirements.
• Find goods and services for the company at the best value regarding quality and price.
• Meet budget constraints to increase profitability.
• Create purchase orders and tally these with supply requests and orders.
• Analyse invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered.

Education
