Atyab Group in Oman seeks a strategic Procurement & Contracts leader to drive governance, value, and risk management across the group. You will shape policy, lead negotiations, and ensure best-value sourcing and supplier performance.

The role requires 10+ years in procurement/contract management, including 4+ years in leadership, with global market experience and strong category management capabilities. An ideal candidate holds a finance/engineering background and CIPS or similar certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in relevant field.
• Master's degree or CIPS certification preferred.
• 10+ years procurement/contract management experience.
• 4+ years leading a procurement/contracts team.
• Experience in global markets with national and international providers.
• Strong procurement systems experience.
• Expertise in supplier development and ICV.
• Knowledge of category management in engineering/food.
• Experience in demand planning and spend analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the Procurement & Contracts department, setting strategy and standards; own price/term negotiations.
• Enforce compliance with procurement policies; escalate non-compliance with senior management.
• Improve procurement processes and cycle times to reduce processing time and add value.
• Govern vendor selection, evaluation and award; ensure best value and fair sourcing.
• Oversee end-to-end tendering (RFI/RFP/RFQ); ensure timely awards via Tender Committee.
• Drive category-based sourcing strategy and savings targets.
• Direct contract management and supply continuity, including renewals and risk controls.
• Lead Local Supplier Development and ICV strategy along with performance governance.
• Monitor supplier performance against contracts/SLAs and manage relationships.
