Job summary

Acciona-Sogex is recruiting on behalf of a client in Muscat, Oman, for an experienced Head of Business Development & Research. The role drives strategic investment initiatives, oversees research and portfolio management, and leads a high-performing team in a dynamic investment environment.

The successful candidate will guide investment strategies, identify growth opportunities, and deliver executive-level reports and recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in investment management or related fields.
• Proven track record leading BD, research and portfolio management.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation expertise.
• Excellent communication and leadership for senior stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; Bloomberg experience preferable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Business Development & Research function and provide strategic direction.
• Oversee investment research, financial modelling, and equity valuation activities.
• Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Identify business growth opportunities and support investment decision-making.
• Conduct financial, commercial, and market analysis to support strategic initiatives.
• Develop executive reports, presentations, and investment recommendations.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of investment and research professionals.
