Job summary

Specialized Import and Trading LLC in Oman seeks a seasoned Head of Business Development & Research to lead investment strategy, research, and portfolio management from Muscat. The role reports to senior leadership and drives growth.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in investment management or related fields, with strong financial modelling, valuation, and leadership skills. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in investment management or related fields.
• Proven leadership in BD, research and portfolio management.
• Strong financial modelling and company valuation skills.
• Experience communicating with senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Excel/PowerPoint; Bloomberg desirable.
• Fluent English; Arabic advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Business Development & Research function and provide strategic direction.
• Oversee investment research, financial modelling, and equity valuation activities.
• Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Identify business growth opportunities and support investment decision-making.
• Conduct financial, commercial, and market analysis to support strategic initiatives.
• Develop executive reports, presentations, and investment recommendations.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of investment and research professionals.
