Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Software Engineer – Storage in Saudi Arabia to build high-performance object storage, from client libraries to storage servers and edge deployment. You’ll tackle distributed systems, upload reliability, caching, and scalable infrastructure.

Formación

• At least 5 years of backend engineering experience, including Node.js in production.
• Experience designing, building, or operating highly scalable distributed systems.
• Comfort across backend development and infra deployment, monitoring, and scaling.
• Familiarity with observability/monitoring tools like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Production experience tuning performance and troubleshooting distributed services.
• Strong PostgreSQL production experience with tuning and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated ownership to drive projects from problem definition to delivery.
• Appreciation for developer experience and reliable tooling.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, async, globally distributed team.

Responsabilidades

• Enhance storage capabilities and support analytics formats for efficient data storage.
• Improve asset delivery speed and performance for websites and apps.
• Expand edge infrastructure for faster uploads and cache invalidation.
• Improve storage server performance via monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Develop storage exploration tools with frontend counterparts for a fast UX.
• Improve APIs, libraries, and CLI tools for a seamless dev workflow.
• Strengthen upload/download reliability across clients and environments.
• Contribute to open-source storage server components and upstream improvements.
• Address escalated issues and implement systemic fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Work across backend, deployment, monitoring, scaling, and operations as needed.
• Lead engineering initiatives end-to-end from problem to delivery.
