Job summary

Total Automation Solutions (TAS) in Muscat seeks an Electrical Engineer with strong upstream electrical systems experience in Oil & Gas. You will review design inputs, assist in erection and testing of electrical systems for artificial lift, and ensure power distribution supports uptime and efficiency.

• Strong knowledge of upstream electrical systems in Oil & Gas.
• Experience with surface facilities and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Review design inputs and optimise electrical systems for surface facilities.
• Shall be aware of midstream processes as well.
• Hands-on experience in erecting, installing and testing electrical systems for artificial lift systems (ESP, gas lift, pumps, VFDs).
• Ensure power distribution systems are designed for maximum uptime and efficiency.
• Provide electrical engineering support during drilling, cementing and production start-up activities.
• Review and support development of P&ID and PFD from electrical/instrumentation perspective.
• Electrical load lists, single-line diagrams, and power studies for heavy-duty equipment.
• Support digital asset optimization and smart field technologies.
• Asset integrity & reliability: monitor and maintain electrical equipment reliability to prevent downtime.

Job Description

• Review of design Inputs, andoptimised on proper and suitable sized electrical systems for surfacefacilities, Well-heads Separators, Multiphase pumps, Gas treatment andcompression systems.
• Shall aware of midstreamprocess as well.

• Review and support developmentof P&ID and PFD from an electrical and instrumentation perspective.
• Electrical load lists,single-line diagrams, and power studies for heavy duty electrical equipment’s.
• Support digital asset optimization initiatives and smart field technologies.
• Asset Integrity & Reliability Monitor and maintain electricalequipment reliability to prevent downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA)for electrical system failures.
• Support preventive andpredictive maintenance programs for critical electrical assets.
• Reservoir & Production Support Work closely with reservoir and production teams to Ensureelectrical systems support optimal production rates and Apply fluid mechanicsand thermodynamic principles in production systems from an electrical interfacestandpoint.
• Health, Safety &Environment Ensure all electrical systems and operations comply with Local andinternational HSE regulations and Electricalsafety standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, ATEX, IECEx).

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of upstream operation and electricalsystems in the Oil and Gas sector.
• Experience and knowledge with surfacefacilities and production systems.
• Familiarity with process simulation models,P&ID, and PFD.
• Experience in asset integrity, interfacing andreliability engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HSE practices, standards andcompliance.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholdermanagement skills.
